The Torii Gate is a symbol from Japan. It is an entrance into a gardens or a sacred place where
there is quiet and peace. The Torii Gate series started at a class I took at Bennington College.
The class was about solar printing on plates, like etching without the chemicals!
The class was wonderful and the whole series of classes by the North Country Studio Workshop
is an amazing learning experience for anyone in the arts. I was able to work in a beautiful studio
with three presses and room enough for everyone to move around and work. Lots of fun!
